Since my Freshman year of college I started volunteering in Title One School in Fountain Valley, California. This school is called Oka Elementary School and I helped Mrs. Bragdon in her classroom. With these lesson plans I have taught to students or made these lessons personally, group projects, and other teachers.
Chika, Chicka, Boom, Boom!
This is perfect for the first week if school to get to know students names, teach them how to spell their names, read them a fun book, and even use some math in this lesson. This is a nice and easy palm tree with a blue background, and green grass, Can not forget the letters falling down the tree.
Materials:
-Green, brown and blue construction paper
-Glue
-Printed out Chika, Chicka, Boom, Boom! (White paper)
-Letter stickers
